The Focus On Series is based on a “block” teaching method, where focused learning is condensed to a shorter “block” of time. It was purposed for those parents and teachers wanting a solid introductory level science course who also want to sequence their own science program.
We have two different product lines: The Focus On series, which is a single-subject, semester-long, unit study, that introduces kids to five science subjects (chemistry, biology, physics, geology, and astronomy). The Building Block series, which is a rigorous, multi-subject, yearlong program where kids build concepts sequentially each year.
FOCUS Books are additional science books on specific, high-interest topics for each Science A-Z instructional unit. The topic of each book helps students focus more deeply on individual concepts presented in the broader unit content. Each unit features multiple FOCUS Books with a mix of reading levels to support differentiated instruction.
Focus on Middle School Science Explaining complex, advanced scientific concepts in a way that children will understand, this series takes children deeper into the topic compared to other grade level programs.
